Matter, Void, Light: The Founding Triptych of SKED.STUDIO
Share
At SKED. STUDIO, each creation is an answer to a fundamental question: how can an object transcend its function to become a silent and evident presence that inhabits and dialogues with its environment? Our philosophy is based on three inseparable pillars: matter, emptiness and light . This is the triptych that guides our approach and gives a soul to our micro-architecture pieces.
Matter: Sensory Anchoring
We choose our materials not as substitutes, but as raw entities with their own soul . Acrylic, with its almost mineral visual density and unexpected tactile warmth , is at the heart of our first explorations. It offers a massive presence and yet, through its perfect polish, a softness that invites contact . It is the material that anchors our creations in reality, giving them weight, texture, sensuality.
The Void: The Creative Space
In our vision, emptiness is not an absence, but an active design element . It is the negative space that defines forms, creates breathing, and allows the object to dialogue with its environment. In the Aura Cube, the central void is not a simple hollow ; it is an invitation to light, a levitating space that lightens the mass and creates a fascinating depth. It is silence that makes music possible.
The Light: The Revealing Soul
Light is our ultimate sculptural tool. Our creations are not lamps that emit, but prisms that reveal . They are designed to capture natural or ambient light , filter it, color it, and project it, transforming a room into a living and contemplative scene. Light is the immaterial soul that gives life to matter and emptiness, creating a unique emotional experience.
It is this tension, this perfect balance between these three elements, that SKED.STUDIO seeks to bring to life. A quest for the essential, for a design that is felt as much as it is seen.
